Spiel: Why a new co-living house in Berlin?
While Berlin is a great city, it often feels very fragmented, lacking dedicated cultural spaces catering to some niche groups, like nerds interested in promoting the sort of cultural events and the ideas we are interested in promoting.
Specifically, all 5 of us work in tech, and we want to promote ethical tech, and building socially responsible technology. We are also interested in encouraging political activism in our space.
We're of course still interested in being open to Germans and welcoming German culture (2 of our 5 "founders" are German!), we intend to be more cosmopolitan than the average German WG. Moos is a great example of such a cosmopolitan cultural center, but we feel Berlin needs more cosmopolitan living communities than just Moos.
We're interested in building a space that's both looking inward and outwards. We're connected to people in the US, Portugal, France, The Netherlands and Brazil and we want to bring in all of their ideas and their bodies to build interesting things with us.
